Port Santan Marine

Santan Marine Terminal is an offshore crude oil, condensate, and LPG loading terminal operated by Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT), located in the Makassar Strait off the coast of East Kalimantan. The terminal consists of a Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) for crude oil and condensate, and a jetty for LPG loading.

Overview

Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur operates the Santan Marine Terminal for crude oil, condensate, and LPG (propane and butane) in the Makassar Strait. The terminal follows the international standards of ISGOTT, OCIMF, and IMO/IMPA for mooring, cargo transfer, and pilotage operations, and enforces a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy for all personnel involved in tanker operations.

Port Regulations

Safety & Fire Precaution

Vessels must keep firefighting appliances ready for immediate use, maintain fire main pressure, and have fire hoses laid out at the manifold area throughout cargo operations.

Vessel Vetting & Acceptance

Nominated vessels must be cleared through the Company Vetting System prior to berthing, and are subject to final inspection by the Mooring Master upon boarding.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

Nominated vessels must be cleared through the Company Vetting System prior to berthing, and are subject to final inspection by the Mooring Master upon boarding.

Pollution Prevention

Scuppers must be effectively plugged during loading, and any oil spillage or leakage must be reported immediately to the Mooring Master and contained without delay.

Communication

All orders and instructions between ship and terminal must be repeated back to confirm understanding, ensuring effective and safe cargo transfer communication.
