Port Pulau Sambu

TERSUS Migas Pertamina Pulau Sambu is a special terminal (TERSUS) operated by PT Pertamina (Persero) as Fuel Terminal Pulau Sambu. It receives HSD (High Speed Diesel) from RU II Dumai and FAME from Batam, and serves as a fuel supply point for Aceh, Jambi, Pangkal Balam, Pontianak, and other regions. The terminal has 6 jetties and operates 24 hours a day with compulsory pilotage.

Overview

Fuel Terminal Pulau Sambu is a strategic business unit of PT Pertamina (Persero), located in the Riau Islands Province. It functions as a receiving, storage, and distribution point for fuel products (HSD, Biosolar, MFO, FAME) via tanker and barge, using 6 jetties. The terminal plays a key role in supporting national energy supply resilience, particularly in western Indonesia.

Port Regulations

Safety Inspection

Ships must complete the Ship Shore Safety Check-List (SSSCL) before starting operations. Hot work, such as welding or spark-producing activities, is strictly prohibited without explicit terminal permits.

Pollution Prevention

Dumping waste, bilge water, or oil into port waters is strictly forbidden. The terminal maintains dedicated oil spill response infrastructure to prevent environmental contamination.

Berthing Safety

The docking and arrival processes mandate the use of pilots for all incoming vessels.

Communication

Ships must use HT/Radio Channel 9 for marine communications and Channel 1 for internal fuel terminal functions. In the event of a fire or security alert, terminal personnel coordinate through the PUSKODALOK control center.
