The terminal is part of Banggai Port and provides safe and efficient petroleum unloading operations through a pile-supported concrete jetty located in Banggai Bay.

Pertamina Oil Terminal Banggai is located within Banggai Bay, Central Sulawesi, and serves as a petroleum receiving terminal operated by Pertamina Marine Region VII. The terminal operates continuously and is equipped with cargo transfer facilities, emergency response systems, marine communication, fire protection, and environmental pollution control to ensure safe and reliable terminal operations.
All personnel entering the operational area shall wear Safety Helmet, Safety Shoes, Coverall
Smoking is strictly prohibited within the terminal property.
All vessels shall comply with Pertamina regulations and successfully complete: Terminal Safety Inspection, Ship/Shore Safety Checklist, Pre-Transfer Conference
All scuppers and drains shall be plugged before cargo transfer, Oil spill prevention equipment shall be maintained onboard, The terminal is equipped with containment booms and spill response equipment.
Primary communication via VHF Channel 09, English (Foreign Vessels) and Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Flag Vessels). Continuous communication between ship and terminal is mandatory throughout cargo operations.
Pilotage is not compulsory, Arrival confirmation is required 8 hours and 3 hours before arrival, Maximum berthing speed: 0.3 knots.
