Port Siam Maspion

PT. Siam Maspion Terminal (SMT) is a joint-venture company between PT Maspion Investindo and SCG Chemicals (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., located within Maspion Industrial Estate, Manyar, Gresik, East Java. Established in 1996 and in commercial operation since 1998, the terminal provides jetty facilities for the loading and unloading of liquid and gas chemical, petrochemical, dry-bulk, and general cargo. Full ISPS Code implementation has been in place since July 2004.

Overview

Siam Maspion Terminal is a multi-purpose liquid, gas, dry-bulk, and general-cargo jetty facility serving manufacturing companies within Maspion Industrial Estate and the surrounding area. The terminal is ISPS Code compliant (SoCPF No. 02-0339-DN) and operates six jetties handling vessels from 500 to 70,000 DWT.

Port Regulations

PPE Requirement

All personnel and visiting crew are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment while in the jetty and operational areas.

Smoking Regulation

Smoking is strictly prohibited on the jetty and its approaches at all times; onboard smoking is confined to designated areas and must cease immediately during a leak or emergency alarm.

Safety Inspection

Vessels must be in good repair with all equipment functioning correctly, and are subject to a joint ship/shore safety and pollution checklist prior to and during cargo operations.

Pollution Prevention

Operations must follow established procedures for preventing oil and chemical pollution, supported by an on-site oil-spill response inventory.

Communication

Vessels must maintain VHF radio contact with the Terminal Central Control Room (CCR, call sign PKD-374) and designated marine traffic channels at all times.

Berthing Safety

Mooring, unmooring, and berthing must comply with ISGOTT and OCIMF mooring-line guidelines under the direction of the Jetty Master.
