Overview

Vopak Terminal Jakarta is a tank terminal located within the Tanjung Priok Port area, owned and operated by Vopak. The terminal has 2 berths (jetties) with differing capacities: Berth 1 (Outer) for vessels up to 65,000 DWT, and Berth 2 (Inner) for vessels up to 5,000 DWT, handling gas oil, diesel oil, and petrochemical products.

  • Safe Distance Between Ships (worst case) minimum 10 meters

Smoking Regulation

Prohibited except in designated smoking areas at the jetty

Safety Inspection

Ship/Shore Safety Checklist (SSSCL) in accordance with ISGOTT, conducted pre-arrival, after mooring, and pre-transfer

Pollution Prevention

Discharge of oil/oil mixtures/dirty ballast into the sea is prohibited; tank cleaning, gas-freeing, and Butterworth washing are prohibited alongside

Static Electricity Precautions

Splash loading is prohibited (except for certain lube products); initial flow rate limited to 1 m/second until turbulence has settled

Immobilisation of Main Engines

Permitted only with written permission from Terminal Management, for a maximum of 12 hours

Hot Work / Repairs

Prohibited while vessel is alongside, except under an approved work permit

Communication

VHF Radio Channel 12/14 must remain active at all times

Security (ISPS Code)

VTJ is certified by SEACOM as ISPS Code compliant; a Declaration of Security (DOS) is required depending on the prevailing security level
