Pertamina Oil & LPG Terminal Makassar is a private terminal owned by PT Pertamina (Persero) – Marketing Operation Region VII and operated by Pertamina Marine Region VII Makassar. Located within Makassar Port on the Makassar Strait, the terminal has three pile-supported concrete jetties handling loading, unloading, and bunkering of petroleum products and LPG, operating 24 hours a day under high safety, security, and environmental protection standards.

Pertamina Oil & LPG Terminal Makassar is part of Makassar Port and serves the loading, unloading, and bunkering of petroleum products (Premium, Kerosene, Solar/HSD, Avtur, Pertamax, MFO, FAME) and pressurized LPG. The terminal is fully operational 24 hours a day and is subject to compulsory pilotage, tug assistance, and strict wind and mooring requirements to ensure safe cargo transfer operations.
Loading of petroleum products:
Contractors on the berth must wear Hard Hat, Safety Shoes, and Coverall in accordance with Pertamina Marine Region VII policy.
Smoking is strictly prohibited within the terminal property.
Number of tugs required depends on vessel LOA (minimum 1–2 tugs, 2,000–6,000 HP total).
Pilotage is compulsory; vessels must confirm ETA to Marine Operation Station and report on VHF Channel 09.
Vessels must maintain a handheld UHF radio on Channel 9 at all times during transfer operations.
No alcohol, illegal drugs, or firearms permitted within terminal property; crew must comply with OCIMF drug and alcohol guidelines.
Discharge of dirty ballast, bilge water, or oily water into terminal waters is strictly prohibited; scuppers must be plugged before transfer.
