Pertamina Integrated Terminal Lhokseumawe serves as one of Pertamina’s strategic fuel distribution terminals in northern Sumatra. The terminal operates a CBM as its primary loading and discharging facility while supporting safe marine operations through pilotage, mooring boats, navigation aids, emergency firefighting equipment, and oil spill response facilities. Marine operations are conducted during daylight hours in accordance with terminal operational procedures and weather limitations.

Port Regulations

PPE Requirement

All personnel entering the terminal operational area shall wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a safety helmet, safety shoes, coverall/workwear, and a life jacket where required. All crew members shall comply with Pertamina Integrated Terminal Lhokseumawe safety policies while within the terminal area.

Smoking Regulation

Smoking is strictly prohibited within all operational and hazardous areas. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas authorized by the terminal.

Safety Inspection

All vessels shall complete the Ship/Shore Safety Checklist and obtain terminal clearance before cargo transfer operations commence. Vessel documentation shall be verified prior to berthing.

Pollution Prevention

Discharge of oil, oily mixtures, chemicals, garbage, sewage, ballast water, or other pollutants into the sea is strictly prohibited. Oil spill response equipment shall remain ready throughout cargo operations.

Communication

Continuous communication shall be maintained between the vessel, pilot, terminal operator, and port authority using the designated VHF/UHF radio channels during all marine operations.

Berthing Safety

Pilotage is compulsory. Berthing and unberthing operations are conducted during daylight hours and are subject to weather, tidal conditions, and terminal approval. Cargo operations shall be suspended whenever sustained wind speed exceeds 20 knots or when sea conditions are considered unsafe.
