Overview

Pulau Baai Fuel Terminal is one of Pertamina's key energy distribution hubs, located within the Pulau Baai Port area in Bengkulu. The terminal operates a single jetty dedicated to fuel receipt and distribution activities. Vessel operations are supported by a mandatory pilotage system, designated inner and outer anchorage areas, and comprehensive navigational aids to ensure operational safety and compliance with international standards.

Port Regulations

PPE Requirement

All personnel must wear standard PPE: safety helmets, safety shoes, coveralls, safety glasses, and life jackets on the jetty.

Smoking Regulation

Smoking is strictly prohibited across all terminal, jetty, fuel storage, and hazardous areas.

Safety Inspection

Vessels must complete a mandatory Ship/Shore Safety Checklist (SSSCL) and meet all terminal regulations before cargo transfer.

Pollution Prevention

Vessels must comply with marine pollution procedures. The terminal is equipped with OSRE (oil booms, skimmers, dispersant pumps, containment bags, sorbents, and chemicals) for spill response.

Communication

All operational communications must use VHF/UHF radio coordinated with the terminal, pilot, and port authorities.

Berthing Safety

Berthing and unberthing maneuvers require mandatory pilotage, following terminal instructions while accounting for tides, currents, and jetty operational limits.
